About the author
Dr. Peter Zhao received his Bachelor Degree in Physics from Zhejiang University, China in 1985.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Zurich in 1997 under the supervision of
Alex Muller who received the Physics Nobel Prize in 1987. Since 2002, he has been a Physics professor
in the field of Condensed Matter Physics. He has published over 110 physics papers in highly reputed
journals including 2 Nature Magazine articles (first author) and 12 invited book chapters. He is a
world leading expert in the field of high-temperature superconductors, colossal magnetoresistive
materials, carbon nanotubes, and magnetic nanosized materials.
